| Description | These images have been gathered from ARTStor for French 230, a course in French civilization. The collection is designed to help students identify artistic styles from the Medieval Period to the 19th Century (roman, gothique, renaissance, baroque, rococo, classicisme, néo-classicisme, romantisme, réalisme, impressionisme, post-impressionisme), as well as recognize the traditions of different classes of French Society (l 19aristocratie, la bourgeoisie, les paysans, le peuple).
